Finishing Guide
Painting Information
Please note: Always test on back side of a panel first
- Install tin (use gloves to avoid possible fingerprints)
- Caulk any necessary seams with paintable caulking
- Prime and paint (*tin is shipped clean and ready for priming and painting*)
- Primer and paint can be applied by brush, roller or spray
Please note: Tin can be primed and painted before being installed if you prefer (We recommend doing at least one coat after installation). Fastener heads will require touch-up painting (use a small craft brush)

- “Bulls Eye 1-2-3” by Zinsser
- Oil

CLEAR COAT/SEALING INFORMATION

- Caulk any necessary seams with paintable, or paintable clear caulking which can be covered after with a metallic paint if required (*tin is shipped clean and ready for clear coat*)
- Clear lacquer can be applied by brush, roller or spray
To give the bright tin an antiqued finish:
- 1st Coat – Mix 1 oz. of black pigment per 1 litre of clear lacquer (done at paint store)
- 2nd Coat – Apply Clear Coat of plain lacquer afterwards to fully protect
